Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported that adjusted gross revenue from online casino operations reached $233.4 million in September 2025, marking the second-highest monthly total in the state’s history.

This impressive figure trails only the record $238.2 million set by operators in March 2025 and represents the fourth time that taxable iGaming revenue has surpassed the $230 million mark in a single month.

The total reflects a substantial 32.1% increase in adjusted gaming revenue for Pennsylvania compared to the same period last year.

Overall operator revenue for the Keystone State, which encompasses all forms of gaming including brick-and-mortar casinos, iGaming, sports wagering, video gaming terminals (VGTs), and fantasy sports, totaled $535.8 million. This combined figure shows a healthy 5.9% year-over-year growth.

The primary engine for this digital growth was online slots, which generated a record-breaking haul of $181.1 million in taxable revenue.

This represents a staggering 37.1% rise in slot winnings year-over-year, a figure that significantly outpaced the 24.7% increase in total slot wagers, or “drop,” which was reported at $4.54 billion.

Online table games also posted solid returns, contributing $50 million in taxable revenue, a 17.8% increase from the previous year.

From these iGaming winnings, the state collected $106.1 million in taxes.

In the operator-specific landscape, Penn National, whose license umbrella includes both DraftKings and BetMGM Casino, set new all-time monthly highs for slot drop ($1.73 billion) and gross slot revenue ($86.4 million). Its $64.9 million in taxable slot revenue was up 37.4% from September 2024.

Meanwhile, FanDuel Casino continued its strong performance, surpassing $50 million in taxable slot revenue for the second consecutive month, finishing September with $50.6 million.

This was a 50.2% increase from the prior year, highlighting the operator’s accelerating growth in the market.
